Lemurs at Amazon World Zoo Park, Isle of Wight

Amazon World Zoo Park

Take a walk on the wild side at Amazon World Zoo Park. The Isle of Wight’s largest collection of exotic animals has everything from toucans to tamarins – and plenty more in between.

A Jurassic playground, a great café, and a beautiful setting help to make this a great day out for all ages, come rain or shine.

The Amazon World Zoo Park Animals

Visit the Isle of Wight’s largest wildlife attraction, with over 100 diverse species. Many of the animals here can’t be seen anywhere else in the UK; some can’t even be seen anywhere else in Europe!

Enjoy free-flying tropical birds in the rainforest habitats, marvel as sloths meander through the trees around them, chuckle at the cheeky lemurs, and watch some of the fascinating displays by the Park’s animal experts.

There’s an emphasis on conservation, meaning that you can learn all about the habitat, behaviours, and challenges facing the animals they’ll meet.

About Amazon World Isle of Wight

The park emerged as a direct response to conservation threats. Initially a tropical bird collection, founder Derek Curtis upped the ante when he saw firsthand the effects deforestation and other human activity were having on wildlife around the world.

The zoo aims to educate people about the plight of endangered species by helping people build a relationship with threatened animals.

Today, the park is full of happy, healthy animals, many of which visitors can meet up close and personal. Amazon World Zoo Park is fully wheelchair accessible and there are plenty of facilities for the very young and the very hungry!

The all-new Monkey Madness is now open on site, too – the Island’s largest soft play centre. There are three levels of frantic fun to explore for kids up to 14 years old, plus a refreshments area and spacious cafe for parents to unwind.

Opening Times

The Park is open every day from 10:00 to 16:00, with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Opening times may vary, however, so do phone ahead or check their website before visiting just in case.
